Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery is a highly specialized surgical procedure in which plastic surgeons attempt to preserve and improve a patient's physical appearance and functional ability. They include reconstructive and cosmetic procedures to achieve these goals. When reconstructive plastic surgery is considered viable, the results of cosmetic procedures can have profound consequences, as disfigurement and stigma can negatively affect psychological well-being, confidence, and self-esteem.
